- Nobody likes those now ubiquitous cookie consent banners. GitHub is in a unique position as it does not rely on ad revenue or otherwise monetize its customers’ information. As such, we were able to remove all privacy-invasive trackers (& their banners). https://github.blog/2020-12-17-no-cookie-for-you/
